Electrical Engineering Manager (Power Systems & Utilities) Location: Dallas, TX Compensation: $155,000-$160,000 + 10% annual bonus We are hiring a direct hire Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the design and delivery of power distribution, substation, and control system projects. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned engineer with expertise in medium and low voltage systems, protection & control, and power systems analysis. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and test technicians Oversee design, development, testing, and validation of electrical systems (substations, switchgear, transformers, relays) Drive engineering strategy, innovation, and process improvements Collaborate with manufacturing, project management, and mechanical teams to ensure design for manufacturability Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource planning Ensure compliance with ANSI, IEEE, NEC, and industry standards Support customer engagements, technical presentations, and long-term partnerships Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering 8+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 2+ years in leadership Strong background in power systems, protection & control, and switchgear design Experience managing complex engineering projects and teams Knowledge of regulatory standards and electrical design tools Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience in utility, substation, or industrial power environments Benefits Benefits vary by client and are confirmed at the time of offer.
