Vice President Operations
Position OverviewThe Vice President of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for leading and scaling all operational functions across the organization. This role owns end-to-end operations strategy, supply chain execution, purchasing, SIOP, logistics, and fulfillment while ensuring alignment with company goals, financial targets, and long-term growth plans. The VP of Operations will drive efficiency, scalability, cost discipline, and service excellence while supporting the company’s growth strategy and customer commitments.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipLead and optimize all operations functions including logistics, warehousing, transportation, purchasing, and fulfillment functions.Develop and implement operational strategies that support company goals, scalability, and profitability.Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, best practices, and performance management.Establish clear operational priorities, performance standards, and accountability across teams.Supply Chain & SIOPLead the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to align demand forecasting, inventory levels, purchasing, and capacity planning.Partner with Sales, Finance, and Product teams to balance service levels, working capital, and profitability.Optimize inventory turns, reduce waste, and proactively mitigate risks related to stockouts and excess inventory.Improve forecast accuracy and supply responsiveness through data-driven decision-making.Purchasing & Vendor ManagementOversee purchasing strategy, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations to ensure cost competitiveness, reliability, and quality.Develop supplier performance metrics and risk mitigation plans.Logistics & DistributionLead inbound and outbound logistics, including carrier management, freight optimization, and last-mile delivery performance.Optimize warehouse operations, layout, labor planning, and inventory accuracy.Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.Continuously evaluate logistics partners and transportation strategies to improve service and reduce costOperational Excellence & Continuous ImprovementChampion operational excellence using continuous improvement methodologies.Drive process standardization, automation, and system enhancements to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement.Leverage technology, data analytics, and automation to improve operational effectiveness and decision-makingFinancial & Strategic ImpactManage operating budgets, labor costs, inventory investment, and working capital.Serve as a key strategic partner to the executive team in planning growth, new channels, and operational scalability.Provide executive-level insight and recommendations on operational risks, investments, and long-term capacity planningTeam Leadership & CultureBuild, lead, and develop high-performing operations and supply chain teams capable of supporting current and future growth.Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.Qualifications10–12+ years of progressive operations and supply chain leadership experience, with significant experience at the senior leadership level.Proven success leading complex operations, SIOP processes, purchasing, logistics, and inventory management.Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor costs, and P&L impact.Experience implementing operational excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, automation).Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
