Software Development ManagerOur client, a growing and innovative SaaS organization, is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the development and delivery of both existing and new software solutions across multiple functional and technology areas. This individual will play a critical leadership role in driving product quality, team performance, technical direction, and overall customer experience.The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who enjoys mentoring engineering teams, collaborating cross-functionally, and helping build scalable, high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the day-to-day operations of software development teams, including both Software Engineers and QA professionals Drive the successful delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions while maintaining strong engineering standards Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership to define product strategy, prioritize initiatives, and build short- and long-term technology roadmaps Mentor and develop engineers by fostering technical growth, encouraging collaboration, and empowering team members to make informed decisions Ensure business and technical requirements are clearly defined, understood, and effectively executed Translate complex technical concepts and ideas into actionable direction for the team Balance team workload and priorities to prevent overcommitment while maintaining delivery expectations Communicate project priorities, development progress, risks, and team challenges to stakeholders and leadership in a proactive and transparent manner Promote a collaborative, innovative, and accountable engineering culture Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered 8+ years of hands-on software development experience with .NET / C# 5+ years of experience managing and leading software development teams Demonstrated success leading high-performing engineering teams of approximately 4–10 developers through the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, development, deployment, and production support Strong technical background with the ability to engage deeply in architectural discussions and technical problem solving Experience working in Agile development environments Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills What They’re Looking ForA collaborative leader who can balance technical depth with people management Someone who thrives in a fast-moving SaaS environment and enjoys building scalable processes and teams A manager who can mentor engineers while also contributing strategically to product and engineering direction
