Truck Driver Class A CDL

We are seeking reliable and experienced truck drivers to join our team at Rapid Packaging Company in Brookings, SD. As a our truck driver, you will be responsible for transporting materials to and from various destinations in eastern South Dakota, northern Iowa and Minnesota. This is a vital role in our organization as you will ensure timely and safe delivery of our products as well as receipt of raw material. Each driver will have a dedicated company owned newer automatic tractor (International) and company paid truck maintenance & fuel. Miles consistently range from 2400 to 3000 per week (more if desired), home most nights and every weekend. $0.55 per mile, hauling company owned 53' dry van trailers. Paid time off and company holidays. Responsibilities: - Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment; when applicable. Most routes are customer unloaded or drop and hook. - Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption - Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members - Report any incidents or mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel Requirements: - Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record - Proven experience as a Truck Driver or similar role - Familiarity with forklifts is preferred - Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations - Strong communication and customer service skills - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required Job Type: Full-time Pay: $0.55 per mile Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Fuel card Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Trucking Driver Type: Company driver Trucking Route: Local Regional Work Location: On the road
