Job DescriptionSummary /ObjectivePerforms snag grinding, general laborer, and housekeeping tasks in assigned production area through the adherence to safe and efficient methods. Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Perform general tasks such as cleaning, preparation, and transport of materials or supplies in compliance with preventative/predictive schedules.Must be able to calibrate and use a variety of measuring devices. Achieve production, quality and safety standards by observing equipment operating conditions and making adjustments to maximize output.Notifies appropriate personnel (Supervisor) of problems beyond the scope of responsibility of the position.Assist assigned team members with general pre-production and post-production tasks while meeting quality standards.Keep accurate time and production records. Maintain supply stock, inventory counts, and materials lists as necessary.Respond to the ever-changing demands of the production department while maintaining a service oriented and helpful demeanor to Vendors, Customers, Co-workers and Outside Sales Representatives. Expedites the prompt resolution of employee, vendor and customer problems, questions, concerns, and discrepancies. Notifies the appropriate personnel of situations that are beyond the scope of responsibility level, including all feedback from Customers. Work Environment/Physical DemandsThis job operates in a manufacturing shop environment with direct and frequent exposure to outside weather elements. Exposure to noise, chemicals, and materials consistent with a manufacturing environment is constant. This is a physically demanding position; maintaining the physical strength to lift materials up to 75 pounds, endure prolonged standing, twisting and bending, stepping up and down, maintain dexterity, and stamina is necessary.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. This position is assigned to either a day or evening shift.
