What We Seek...
We are seeking a career-mind Process Engineer to lead the operation, optimization, and innovation of a new, high-end industrial coating line. This role requires an individual with a strong concern for quality, accuracy, and a results-oriented focus.
The successful candidate will work independently to solve complex process problems, transitioning technical concepts into fully working, reliable production solutions. This position involves critical thinking and thorough analysis of equipment performance to maintain safe, efficient systems. We are looking for a resourceful professional who can handle multiple tasks, from managing a technical team to performing detailed structural and mechanical troubleshooting.
Job Summary and Job Functions
Process Leadership: Consistently engineer innovative processes to optimize an automated coating line utilizing liquid spray systems, conveyors, and curing ovens
Operational Oversight: Manages the daily operation and supervision of a technical staff of 3–5 operators. Provides oversight to maintain the automated coating line for maximum up time and output
Quality & Accuracy: Monitors and adjusts coating quality, including mix ratios, film thickness, and UV resistance to ensure projects meet strict design specifications
Technical Maintenance: Maintains and troubleshoots mechanical systems including pumps, spray equipment, ventilation, and compressed air
Systems Integration: Supports and troubleshoots PLC-controlled equipment and industrial electrical systems
Safety & Compliance: Author and enforce safety procedures regarding solvents and isocyanate coatings, ensuring all environmental conditions meet regulatory requirements
Continuous Improvement: Consistently shares ideas to increase the profitability and efficiency of the production line through Lean Manufacturing methods

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred; related engineering fields with appropriate experience considered
Experience: 2+ years of experience in industrial coating, automated manufacturing, or related technical field
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated knowledge in mechanical troubleshooting, fabrication, and assembly. Experience with CAM, CAE preferred
Software: Experience with PLC-controlled systems (ABB preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Autodesk Inventor Pro preferred
Safety Mindset: Knowledge of chemical safety practices, SDS documentation, and hazardous material handling
Attitude: A positive, professional demeanor with the ability to see challenges as opportunities for creative solutions
