Client Service Executive (Commercial Lines – Transportation Focus) | Commercial Lines Account ManagerLocation: Kansas CityBase Salary: 100k plus bonus and benefitsOverviewWe're seeking an experienced Client Service Executive in the Kansas City area with a strong background in Transportation insurance accounts. This role supports complex commercial clients in industries such as trucking, cargo, and shipping, making it ideal for someone who understands the unique exposures, coverage structures, and service demands of transportation risks.This is a senior-level service role combining strategic account management, client partnership, and team leadership. If you enjoy advising sophisticated clients, collaborating with Producers, and mentoring team members while delivering best-in-class service — this opportunity offers both impact and growth.Key ResponsibilitiesClient & Book ManagementManage an average book of business exceeding $1.5M in revenuePartner closely with the designated Producer to proactively identify client needs and recommend coverage solutionsLead the renewal strategy and execution process, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive placementsRetain existing business while identifying opportunities to expand services and lines of coverageBuild strong relationships with transportation client decision-makers and operational contactsLeadership & Team DevelopmentMentor Client Service team members through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharingSupport a culture of continuous learning and high service standardsServe as a senior resource for coverage guidance, workflows, and service strategyOperational ExcellenceConduct periodic account audits to ensure compliance, accuracy, and service qualityMaintain precise client and policy documentation within agency management systemsLeverage technology and process improvements to enhance productivity and service deliverySkills & Success TraitsStrong understanding of Transportation insurance exposuresResilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environmentStrong collaborator who builds internal and external partnershipsProactive mindset with a focus on solutions and client advocacyExcellent communication and organizational skillsQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree and 5+ years of client service and/or claims management experienceOR High School diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant experienceActive Property & Casualty Insurance LicenseWillingness to travel up to 25%PreferredExperience managing books of business exceeding $1.5M revenueDirect experience with Transportation risks including Trucking, Cargo, and ShippingExperience handling large and complex commercial accountsSend CV to Scott swhite@aprcareers.com
