SUMMARY: Perform as a Maintenance Mechanic and support key processes and projects in the Camfil Riverdale location. Position is responsible for assistance in all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company's facilities and equipment to ensure they are well-cared for and adequate to support the company's business operations. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to those listed in the Summary section above, the following are duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned: Dismantles devices to gain access to, remove and replace defective partsRepairs electrical and mechanical equipmentPerforms maintenance and preventive maintenance in accordance with the plant quality systems and Safety requirementsDocuments time and labor information on appropriate forms to ensure proper accounting of work performedIdentify, define, and track operating conditions including equipment planned downtime, actual downtime, run time and equipment efficiency/ reliability objectives. Adaptable to Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).Support facility operation. Focus on driving continuous improvements in safety, quality, cost and delivery.Assist in the start-up of equipment, to include updating safety documentation, technical documentation and updating/coordinating the training of employees.Responsible for investigating reliability issues and performing root cause analysis on significant failures.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Availability for daily/weekly overtime.Drive a culture of urgency and maintain an informed position regarding plant equipment status.Adhere to company policies, procedures, practices and rulesCrosstrain in other positions within the facility based on business needs.Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High school diploma or equivalent considered.Maintenance experience required.Minimum of Experience: 1-3 yearsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.Simple math required, have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Must be able to interpret and, as necessary generate engineering layouts, schematics, and flowcharts.Lean manufacturing experience a plusTeam member to work in compliance with the applicable standards of their position (NQA-1, GMP, etc.). Team member shall stop work immediately and notify leadership if conditions which could adversely affect the safety of a team member and /or product quality are detected.Strong electrical skills (AC DC circuitry) Planning and problem-solving abilityKnowledge of PLC systems and associated logic.Oral and written communication skills, with computer proficiency in Excel.Experience with electrical test equipment.Knowledge and experience with implementation/ repair of AC/DC motor drive systems, frequency converters, power suppliesExperience with robotic systems/ manipulators a plusKnowledge and experience with Pneumatics and Hydraulic systems. Sensors cylinders, etc.Network and computer knowledge a plusAbility to effectively communicate in the workforceWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for continuous periods of 4 hours. The employee frequently is required to handle product and reach with hands and arms, repetitively throughout the shift. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
