Director of Security (Unarmed)

Security Alliance is seeking a highly qualified Director of Security to oversee and ensure the safety of the Hines building in Coral Gables. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security management, be tech-savvy, and possess hands-on supervision experience. We value professionalism, leadership, and a proactive approach to security. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all security operations, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets. Develop and implement security protocols, policies, and procedures in line with industry standards. Oversee a team of security personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Monitor and review security systems and technologies, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and emergency response systems. Collaborate with law enforcement and other relevant agencies as needed. Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and provide recommendations to enhance security measures. Respond to and investigate security incidents, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up. Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends, technologies, and regulations. Qualifications: Valid D-License for security officers in the state of Florida. Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the security industry. Tech-friendly with a working knowledge of modern security technologies (CCTV, access control, etc.). Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations with professionalism. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure comprehensive security measures. Preferred Skills: Previous experience in a similar role within the Coral Gables or South Florida area. Experience with emergency preparedness and crisis management. Familiarity with security compliance requirements.
