He/she will coach teachers in effective instructional strategies and practices, conduct demonstration lessons, collaborate with teachers, and plan appropriate professional development activities.Performance ResponsibilitiesProfessional Development for Teachers Conduct classroom observations Model effective instructional strategies for teachers Provide opportunities for teacher collaboration Provide professional development activities Coach teachers in effective strategies and practices Help teachers develop expertise in assessing and diagnosing strengths and weaknesses and prescribe the appropriate instructionProgram Management Maintain and oversee School Renewal Plan Chair the Response to Intervention Team Provide regular reports to district liaison on total program Participate in District Staff Development Evaluation Coordination Assist in analyzing test data for instructional emphasis Assist in developing classroom assessments Materials Maintain current materials' inventory Assist teacher in the selection of materials Critique and upgrade instructional materials Coordinate the ordering process from selection to receipt and distribution of instructional Materials and suppliesTeaching Responsibilities Provide literacy instruction for small groups Provide tutoring services Teach course(s) as necessaryParent Activities Assist with programs for parents at the school Collaborate with district Parent Involvement CoordinatorDisclaimer Perform other duties as assignedThis job description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties but a reflection of the general nature and level of work expected.
