The role also supports overall plant operations, process control, and system reliability to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality water to the community.Candidates may apply as a trainee or as a licensed Waterworks Operator. Trainees will receive on the job training and are expected to obtain required certifications within established timeframes.𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:• High school diploma or GED• Valid Virginia driver’s license• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred experience includes knowledge of plant operations, process control, water treatment systems, or pump station operations.
