A financial firm is looking for a Storage Product Engineer to join their team in Jersey City, NJ.Pay: $105/hrResponsibilitiesDriving storage vendors around product improvement and delivery, as part of the firm's established product development life cycle processAbility to work with the storage development team, in the creation of development requirements that will lead to an uplift in the areas of automation, performance management as well as inventory management of the firm's enterprise-level storage environmentEnable cloud journey for our business partners by understanding their storage requirements and providing appropriate solutions in both external and internal cloudQualificationsRequiredCurrently working within an enterprise-level storage environmentExperienced in Pure Storage FlashArray block storage products and/or in Rubrik r6000 series data protection productsExperienced in Brocade G series fabric switch productsCapability to follow and deliver Product Development Life Cycle type documentation as part of the product evaluation and certification processCompetent in Windows, Linux/UNIX-like operating systems, I/O and network stack tuning and performance profilingUnderstanding how to deliver reliable services out of unreliable componentsFamiliar with DevOps tools and version control systems (SVN, GitLab)Familiar with SRE principles such as user journeys, SLI/SLO, and synthetic probersStrong analytical, problem solving, and trouble shooting skillsAbility to adapt to new technologiesPreferredExperience with engineering and operating a hybrid cloud delivery model with focus on data coherency between on-prem and off-prem componentsProficiency with PowerShell, Python, Bash or other scripting languages with a focus on testing and sound SDLC practicesFamiliarity with hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, and Azure)Familiarity with hypervisors (ESX)Beneficial, but not required, experience in block storage (Dell, Hitachi), file (Netapp, Dell Unity), and/or backup solutions (Networker, DataDomain)Familiarity with Elastic Search and Kibana24-02803
