Operations & Data Analyst – ContractPosition OverviewOur client is seeking contract professionals to support data management, reporting, and process improvement initiatives within a complex financial operations environment. This role will focus on improving the accuracy and efficiency of operational processes, analyzing data across multiple systems, and reducing manual work through automation.The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large datasets and evolving processes. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys identifying inefficiencies and developing practical solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze operational processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracySupport data validation, reconciliation, and reporting across multiple systemsOrganize and manage high-volume data and information flowsPerform data mapping and resolve discrepancies between systemsDevelop and maintain Excel-based tools to streamline recurring processesUse advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, and other automation techniquesSupport process documentation and workflow improvementsPartner with business and accounting teams to understand needs and implement solutionsInvestigate data and process issues and help develop effective resolutionsAssist with reporting and other operational analysis as neededManage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentQualificationsStrong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation, and VBA/macrosExperience with data analysis, reconciliation, or process improvementStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience working with large or complex datasetsAbility to identify inefficiencies and develop practical solutionsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to quickly learn new systems and business processesComfortable working independently and navigating ambiguityStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferred ExperienceFinancial services, accounting, investment operations, or related industry experienceExperience with workflow automation or data-processing platformsExposure to financial or operational reconciliation processesExperience working across multiple enterprise systemsFamiliarity with platforms used for financial data processing or fund operations
