Principal Platform IAC Engineer (Infrastructure as Code)Location: Richardson, TX (Onsite) | Compensation: $190,000 – $207,000Open Date: 04.19.2026Role OverviewAs a Principal Platform IAC Engineer, you will lead and support the development and maintenance of our modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution. These environments — a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware — provide the enterprise hybrid cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large project producing a critical, strategic national asset. The role includes hands-on engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.The Principal Platform IAC Engineer will be well versed in maintaining COTS and FOSS products and use of tools such as LDAP, RHEL, Tenable, Consul, Ansible, and Terraform to implement and support the Infrastructure as Code solution for our programs.Note: This position is based in Richardson, TX and work will be performed at the onsite facility, requiring occasional travel to the customer site for upgrade and implementation activities as necessary.What You Will DoLeverage company and industry best practices to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of IaC solutionsSupport software tool customization and automation including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts utilizing Ansible playbooksLead the integration of selected platform container development and orchestration such as Kubernetes and DockerLead the design, architecture, development, and support of build and test pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise, virtualized, and cloud-based computing environmentsAssist engineers with specialized tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices toward solutionsQualifications You Must HaveBS or BA degree in STEM (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics) and minimum 8 years of related work experienceExperience with Integration, Cloud, Containerization, Infrastructure or Platform as a Service, Linux Development, MicroservicesExperience with Linux System Administration such as RHEL 6.0 or higherExperience with Agile Development Methodologies such as Scrum or SAFeCurrent TS/SCI Security Clearance with a CI Poly required Day 1U.S. citizenship requiredQualifications We PreferExperience with Model Based Systems EngineeringExperience with application deployments to KubernetesExperience with Atlassian Tool Suite, Cucumber, Eclipse, GitExperience with implementing scaled Agile frameworksExperience deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, ArtifactoryExperience with programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, GoExperience with Postgres, SonarQubeGeneral working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualizationBackground in COTS and FOSS product installation, configuration, and integrationExperience with Ansible automation frameworksCurrent CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain
