Data Engineer

A recognized media & entertainment organization is actively seeking a new Data Engineer to work at one of its offices.About the Opportunity:Locations: Los Angeles, CA; Orlando, FL; Washington, D.C.; or, Northern New JerseySetting: Hybrid (3 days a week onsite)Responsibilities:Designing, building, and maintaining data platform services and workflows using Node.js and TypeScriptDeveloping scalable ingestion, transformation, and access patterns for data productsUsing Python and SQL for data processing and operational workflowsPartnering with teams for data governance and quality assuranceWriting clean, testable code with an emphasis on automated testingPerforming other duties, as neededQualifications:5+ years of experience in Software/Data Engineering roles with a backend focusStrong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript in production environmentsWorking knowledge of Python and SQL for data workflowsSolid foundation in Software Engineering fundamentalsExperience with production-grade data systemsStrong testing disciplineExperience with CI/CD pipelinesHigh degree of ownership in a fast-moving environmentEffective collaboration across teamsDesired Qualifications:Experience with Metadata, Lineage, and GovernanceFamiliarity with Observability Patterns for Data ServicesExperience the Modernizing Legacy systemsExperience in Media, Streaming, or large-scale enterprises
