Our mission is supported by interdisciplinary teams dedicated to improving access to care, advancing clinical excellence, and supporting recovery-oriented outcomes.Role SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) at Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive nursing care within the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) and outpatient services in Ithaca, NY. This role focuses on supporting individuals impacted by Opioid Use Disorder through compassionate, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental care, while ensuring compliance with clinical, regulatory, and safety standards.Roles and ResponsibilitiesProvide direct professional nursing care to clients within scope of practice in the OTP clinic and, as needed, on the Mobile Medication UnitComplete nursing assessments including vital signs, risk assessments, and withdrawal assessments in accordance with OASAS regulations and timelinesAdminister medications and implement nursing interventions in accordance with facility policies and provider ordersMaintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in electronic and paper medical recordsCommunicate effectively with interdisciplinary treatment team members regarding client medical needs and care coordinationRequired Skills and ExperienceEducation: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent combination of education and experience in behavioral healthLicense: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) licenseExperience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or outpatient clinical settingsMinimum 1 year experience providing direct patient care, nursing assessments, and clinical documentationSkills: Demonstrated ability to multitask, perform crisis intervention, maintain professional treatment boundaries, and communicate effectively with diverse populationsPreferred Skills and ExperienceEducation: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferredExperience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment preferredPhysical RequirementsThis role requires repetitive use of hands and fingers, frequent standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, and the ability to stoop, kneel, and reach. Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, including medical supplies and medication inventory.
