Mechanic - Tree Service Equipment

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of tree service equipment. This role is responsible for keeping trucks, chippers, stump grinders, lifts, and small engine equipment safe, reliable, and ready for daily operation. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, mechanically skilled, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet including:Bucket trucks and dump trucksStump grindersGrapple trucks and trailersChainsaws, blowers, and other small enginesPerform preventative maintenance and inspectionsTroubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systemsConduct DOT inspections and ensure complianceMaintain service records and parts inventoryCoordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtimePerform occasional emergency or on-call repairsKeep shop and work areas clean and organizedFollow all company safety policies and proceduresRequirements Proven experience as a mechanic (fleet, diesel, heavy equipment, or similar)Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systemsAbility to diagnose mechanical issues efficientlyExperience with preventative maintenance programsValid driver's license (CDL a plus but not required)Ability to lift heavy parts and work in outdoor/shop environmentsReliable, organized, and safety-focusedPreferred (Not Required) Tree service or landscaping equipment experienceCDL Class A or BWelding and fabrication skillsASE or similar certificationsExperience with DOT complianceBenefits Competitive pay based on experienceOvertime opportunitiesSteady, year-round workPaid training and advancement opportunitiesCompany-provided tools or tool allowancePowered by JazzHRByAoCIlgZQ
