Account Manager - Maryland / Virginia

As one of our Test & Measurement Sales Engineers/Account Managers, you will be part of a customer-focused team dedicated to maximizing sales through the development of new business and working closely with our existing customers utilizing a solutions-based sales approach. Product categories that enable our customers to succeed include spectrum/signal analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, and communication test systems. We are currently looking for an Account Manager to be based in the Mid Atlantic (MD/VA) area and support existing customers as well as focus on developing new accounts.Your tasksUnderstand customer needs and identify how Rohde & Schwarz products can provide technical solutionsCreate new business opportunities and expand Rohde & Schwarz brand awareness in new and existing customersEffectively demonstrate and communicate how Rohde & Schwarz products can best solve the customers’ measurement/application needsGrow the R&S market share and exceed quotaDevelop and manage a strong sales funnelProvide input and feedback to product marketing, service and development groups on customer product and application requirementsYour QualificationsBSEE (or equivalent technical education)Due to certain US Government and prime contractor customer requirements, candidates must be a U.S. personTechnical sales experienceAn understanding of current electronic industry technologies (aerospace & defense and semiconductor/components technologies are a plus)The ideal candidate will have a passion for selling, an intense focus on customer service, and an overwhelming desire to succeedExcellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skillsExpertise in territory and account planningThe ability to travel throughout the territory with some possible out of territory and international travel.Account knowledge and experience with the Mid Atlantic area and local customers is highly desiredInterested?We are looking forward to receiving your application!The total compensation for this position is $137K-$230K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level.
