We are a vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm looking to add a bookkeeper to assist and support our Business Office in Lake Success. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience as a bookkeeper.
Bookkeeping Requirements
Monthly Billing Reports/Analysis for each Attorney
Monthly Origination Reports/Analysis for each Attorney
Disbursement Check Requests
Log Disbursement Ledger from Brooklyn & White Plains Office
Scan Monthly Bank Statements in Corresponding Folder
Scan Client 1099 & Keep Running Total
Reconcile AF Business Accounts (all AF accounts – non-Escrow)
Documenting financial transaction details and monitoring the transactions
Fact-checking data
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
At least 2-3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or related role.
Degree in accounting or a related field.
Excellent client services and problem-solving skills.
Proactive and anticipatory.
Opportunity to learn Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Computer literacy especially familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software such as Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks.
Ability to think clearly and work well under pressure in a busy environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of staff within the office.
