This role supervises a field crew, manages daily job-site operations, and ensures irrigation projects are completed safely, efficiently, within budget, and to DeHamer Landscaping's quality standards.The Irrigation Foreman serves as the primary on-site leader and point of contact for irrigation-related work, while modeling DeHamer Landscaping's Mission, Vision, and Core Values in every interaction with team members and customers.Key ResponsibilitiesCrew Leadership & Job-Site ManagementSupervise and lead an irrigation crew on daily job sitesPlan and manage loading and unloading of trucks and trailers with required equipment and materialsEnsure safety, productivity, and quality standards are met on every jobInspect daily work to ensure installations and repairs meet company standardsTrain, mentor, and lead crew members in proper irrigation methods, safety procedures, and best practicesMaintain cleanliness and organization of trucks, trailers, equipment, and job sitesInventory of Irrigation material used on-site and in trailerIrrigation Installation, Maintenance & RepairInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems including:Sprinkler and drip systemsValves, controllers, pumps, and mainlinesRead and interpret irrigation blueprints, plans, layouts, and specificationsEnsure proper system coverage and water efficiency.Program, adjust, and troubleshoot standard and smart irrigation controllersCommunication & Customer ServiceServe as the primary on-site point of contact for irrigation projectsProvide clear updates on job progress, timelines, and any issuesCommunicate material needs, progress, and challenges to managementAdministrative & Performance ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate job records material usage, and job notesEnsure projects are completed on schedule and within budgetEnforce safety policies and promote a safe working environmentApproach challenges with a troubleshooting and problem-solving mindsetRequired Qualifications2+ years of hands-on irrigation installationPrevious crew leadership or foreman experience preferredStrong knowledge of irrigation components, and basic electrical systemsAbility to read irrigation plans and site drawingsValid driver's license with a clean driving record (chauffeur's license required)Ability to operate required tools and equipment including trenchers and hand toolsStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamComfortable working outdoors in Michigan weather conditionsPhysical RequirementsAbility to bend, kneel, stand, and work for extended periodsComfortable working in trenches and on uneven terrainBenefits:Weekly payHealth Care provided with HSADental and Vision availableSimple IRA with 3% match after 1 year of employmentPaid Time Off and Holiday PayGreat CultureDeHamer Events and GearDeHamer Landscaping [Company] Hiring Terms and Conditions:Applications must be completed via our website at www.dehamerlandscaping.com.
