Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the final inspection and packaging of manufactured goods. Manage and train a team of finishing technicians. Ensure all finished products meet quality standards and specifications. Schedule and prioritize daily finishing operations to meet production targets. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to finishing equipment and processes. Implement and maintain safety protocols within the finishing department. Monitor and report on key performance indicators for the finishing area. Recommended Qualifications5+ years of experience in a manufacturing finishing department, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Proficiency in various finishing techniques (e.g., sanding, polishing, painting, coating) and quality control procedures. Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a team of production personnel to achieve output targets. Strong understanding of safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles within a production environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize workflow and reduce defects. Bonus QualificationsExperience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in using ERP systems for production planning and inventory management. Demonstrated ability to train and mentor production staff on new techniques and safety protocols. Certification in Six Sigma or other quality management systems. Familiarity with robotic or automated finishing processes.
