CNC Programmer

We strive to provide our customers with a reliable partner in business through outstanding service, teamwork and by providing high quality parts on time with zero defects. *Job Summary* As a A *CNC Programmer Designer *you will bridge the gap between product conceptualization and shop-floor execution. You will use CAD software to design parts, assemblies, fixtures, or molds, and CAM software to write efficient, precise G-code programs for multi-axis CNC machines. *Job Duties & Responsibilities* * *CAD Design:* Create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings of components, tooling, and fixtures using software like SolidWorks, Mastercam, and AutoCAD. * *CNC Programming:* Develop, test, and optimize efficient toolpaths and programs for 3-axis and multi-axis CNC mills and lathes. * *Process Optimization:* Analyze blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to select proper cutting tools, speeds, and feed rates to reduce cycle times. * *Design for Manufacturability (DFM):* Review product designs to ensure they can be efficiently and accurately machined. * *Shop Floor Support:* Collaborate with machinists and toolmakers to troubleshoot first-run parts, resolve setup errors, and refine active programs. *Requirements & Skills* * *Education:* Associate’s degree in manufacturing, CAD/CAM, mechanical engineering, or equivalent practical shop experience. * *Experience:* 3+ years of combined experience in mechanical design and CNC programming within a machine shop environment. * *Software Proficiency: *Expertise in CAD/CAM packages (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD. * *Technical Knowledge:* Deep understanding of G-code, cutting tool properties, and material behavior (metals, plastics, composites). * *Communication:* Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality assurance, and machine operators.
