Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process.How you’ll make an impact in this roleCollect and process blood specimens for testing and performs multiple clerical and processing functions.Set up instruments. Maintain, clean, and sterilize equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.Receive, centrifuge, accession, process, and transport specimens. Verify all related records. May draw and collect blood samples according to policy.Order add-on tests, work pending lists, and resolve duplicate orders.Perform clerical duties which may include answering phones, reviewing EKGs, collecting patient demographic data for patient registration, ordering tests, reviewing Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN), data entry and filing.What Minimum Requirements You’ll NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration:Preferred Credential(s):BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC).Phlebotomy Tech.Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC).Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT).Tech credentialed from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
