We specialize in surveillance systems, access control, intrusion alarms, fire systems, and customized security solutions.Our goal is to provide customers with more than equipment - we provide peace of mind through secure homes and businesses, dependable service, and long-term customer relationships.Position OverviewThe Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for prospecting, generating new business, meeting with prospective clients, preparing proposals, and helping customers understand the value of investing in professional security and fire protection solutions.This position requires someone who is self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and capable of developing their own leads as well as working leads generated through company-provided software and sales tools. The right candidate must be able to clearly demonstrate the value of what we are selling: peace of mind, protection, and reliable security for homes and businesses.Key Responsibilities·        Prospect and develop new commercial and residential sales opportunities.·        Identify, pursue, and cold call prospective customers through self-generated leads, company- provided software, networking, referrals, site visits, and relationship-building.·        Build and maintain relationships with business owners, homeowners, property managers, contractors, builders, and decision-makers.·        Conduct client consultations to understand security and fire protection needs.·        Demonstrate the value of Connext Security Solutions' products and services by showing customers how our systems help provide peace of mind and a more secure home or business.·        Present security, fire, surveillance, access control, and alarm solutions in a professional and consultative manner.·        Prepare estimates, proposals, and sales presentations.·        Follow up with leads, prospects, and existing customers in a timely and professional manner.·        Perform post-installation follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and help create long-term, lasting relationships.·        Work closely with installation and operations teams to ensure a smooth customer experience from sale through installation and follow-up.·        Maintain accurate records of sales activity, leads, proposals, customer communications, and follow-up activity.·        Meet or exceed sales goals and performance expectations.·        Represent the company professionally at networking events, client meetings, job sites, and industry-related opportunities.Required Qualifications·        Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the commercial and/or residential security installation field.·        Proven outside sales experience, including prospecting, cold calling, and developing new business.·        Strong knowledge of security systems, including video surveillance, access control, alarm systems, and related installation services.·        Ability to demonstrate the value of security solutions beyond equipment, including peace of mind, safety, protection, and long-term reliability.·        Must be self-motivated and comfortable working independently.·        Proven ability to generate leads, close sales, and manage customer relationships.·        Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and follow-up skills.·        Professional appearance and demeanor.·        Strong organizational and time-management skills.·        Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.·        Ability to travel to customer locations, job sites, and networking opportunities.Preferred Qualifications·        Prior hands-on experience as a security installation technician is a plus.·        Experience selling fire alarm systems, low-voltage systems, CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, or monitoring services.·        Existing relationships with commercial property managers, contractors, builders, facility managers, business owners, or residential customers.·        Familiarity with CRM software, lead-generation software, or sales tracking tools.Compensation & Benefits·        Competitive base pay plus commission, or commission-based structure depending on experience.·        Performance-based earning potential.·        Fully paid health, dental, and vision benefits.·        Paid time off (PTO).·        Company vehicle provided.·        Company gas card provided.·        Company phone and laptop provided.·        Supportive team environment.·        Training on Connext Security Solutions' products, services, and sales process.·        Career advancement opportunities as the company grows.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is an experienced outside sales professional with a proven background in the commercial and/or residential security installation industry. This person is driven, self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and confident with prospecting and cold calling.They understand that customers are not just buying security equipment - they are investing in peace of mind, protection, and confidence that their home or business is secure. A candidate with prior hands-on installation technician experience would be especially valuable, as they will understand both the technical and customer-facing sides of the business.
