Fleet Manager

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and hands-on Transportation Manager to oversee the daily operations of our client's fleet and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, proven experience with diesel engine repair, and a solid background in managing drivers, technicians, and logistics operations. A four-year degree is not required-my client values practical experience and leadership ability.Key Responsibilities:Manage and coordinate all transportation and fleet operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.Supervise and lead a team of drivers, mechanics, and support staff.Oversee diesel engine repair, maintenance schedules, and ensure timely vehicle servicing.Monitor fleet performance, fuel usage, and maintenance costs.Develop and implement operational policies to improve efficiency and safety.Ensure compliance with DOT and other transportation regulations.Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and parts inventory.Train and mentor staff to maintain high performance and morale.Job RequirementsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred but not required.Diesel engine repair experience is required.Supervisory or management experience is required.Strong understanding of fleet maintenance, logistics, and DOT regulations.Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound operational decisions.Additional InformationEmail: cpaisley@irgsolution.comSubject: Fleet Manager- VermontMeet Your RecruiterCraig Paisley
