Surgical Tech Location: Lowville, NY Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $1,876 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position ID: 76451538 Shift: Days Description: The work involves responsibility for completing technical duties in the preparation of the surgical room and patients. The incumbent cleans and inspects the surgery room prior to and after the surgical procedure, obtains supplies and equipment for the surgical procedure to be performed, prepares the surgical patient and assists the surgeon during the surgical procedure by providing the surgical instrument necessary to perform the procedure. The work is performed under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Does related work as required. (A) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and successful completion of a nationally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists and holds and maintains a certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by a nationally accredited Surgical Technologist credentialing organization; or (B) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and completion of an appropriate training program for surgical technology in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard or Public Health Service Commissioned Corps; or (C) Was employed as a Surgical Technologist in a healthcare facility for a cumulative period of one year, occurring within the four years immediately prior to January 1, 2015.
