Electrical Engineer | Data Center Infrastructure | U.S.I am partnering with an advanced compute and infrastructure business building and energizing some of the most technically demanding data center campuses in the U.S. On-site power requirements at these sites run at campus scale, and the electrical engineering team is being built out across several levels to match. The team is small, flat and deliberately hands-on, and leadership goes to the people who show initiative and consistently deliver.The RoleYou will join the facility operations team and own the electrical design behind new infrastructure builds. You will carry genuine autonomy on complex problems, run several projects at once, and work alongside MEP engineers, trade partners and internal customers. Scope is assigned to your strength, whether that sits in low, medium or high voltage.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and specify electrical power distribution systems, switchgear and motor control centers.Specify UPS units, standby and emergency generators, and automatic transfer switches.Develop building and site grounding, lightning protection and fire alarm system designs.Design ground support system controls and ladder logic, plus interior and exterior lighting.Run load flow analysis, power coordination and arc flash studies across facility distribution.Coordinate electrical installation and maintenance activities with local utility personnel.Confirm that electrical equipment interfaces correctly with mechanical systems and facility power budgets.Conduct code review and analysis against NFPA 70 NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 101 and IBC.Support facility technicians in troubleshooting existing electrical equipment and controllers.What You Bring3+ years on electrical projects covering power distribution, switchgear, UPS units or generators.5+ years in a comparable facility or industrial electrical engineering role, preferred.A background in electrical contracting, utilities, switchgear manufacturing or heavy industrial builds. Hyperscaler experience is not a requirement here.Working knowledge of medium voltage distribution, power coordination and arc flash.Ability to read power and control schematics and highly technical O&M manuals.Experience with variable frequency drives, industrial pumps and MODBUS controls.Control panel design and production experience.Professional Engineering license, preferred.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Why This Role?This is a build, not a maintenance seat.
