We do not just build buildings, we build trust, long term relationships, and careers people are proud of.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations across educational (K-12 + Higher-Ed), commercial and public works projects. The Superintendent will ensure safe, on-schedule, on-budget delivery while maintaining the highest standards for quality, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with owners, design teams and trade partners. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong construction technical knowledge, proven experience in schools and institutional settings, and comfort working on design-build delivery models.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and supervise all field activities to ensure projects meet schedule, budget and quality objectives; coordinate daily with project managers and subcontractors.Manage on-site safety program, enforce safety policies and practices, and maintain compliance with OSHA, local regulations and owner-specific safety requirements.Implement and enforce regulatory compliance for DSA and other jurisdictional requirements on applicable projects; coordinate inspections and approvals.Oversee construction sequencing and logistics for occupied school and campus environments, minimizing disruption to students, staff and public operations.Coordinate design-build execution in collaboration with project designers and the construction management team to resolve constructability issues and implement value engineering.Review and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders and daily reports; maintain accurate field documentation and support contract administration.Lead quality-control inspections, punch lists and commissioning activities; ensure workmanship meets contract documents and owner expectations.Develop and maintain project schedules, labor/resource forecasts and productivity tracking; proactively identify schedule risks and propose mitigation plans.Manage relationships with owners, campus facilities, inspectors, utility providers and community stakeholders; represent the company professionally on-site.Mentor and supervise foremen, lead carpenters and craft personnel; foster a collaborative, safety-first culture among field teams.QualificationsMinimum 7+ years of field superintendent experience on institutional projects (K-12, higher education) with additional experience on commercial and public works projects preferred.Demonstrated experience on design-build delivery preferred.Proven track record managing projects in occupied school or campus environments with strong logistical planning and stakeholder coordination skills.Solid understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling (critical path), cost control and quality assurance processes.Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and contract documents.Proficient with construction management software, scheduling tools and electronic document control systems; BIM coordination experience a plus.Certifications preferred: OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR; Superintendent or Construction Management certifications are a plus.Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; ability to work flexible hours including occasional nights or weekends as required by project needs.High school diploma or equivalent required; trade background, technical degree or related college coursework preferred.Ability to pass background checks and meet owner-specific credentials or credentialing systems as required (e.g., HCAI, fingerprinting).BenefitsCompetitive compensation (DOE): $100k-175k baseMedical/Dental/Vision100% employer-paid premiums for employeeEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Profit-SharingPaid Vacation and sick timeNine (9) Paid Holidays100% employer-paid Life, AD&D, and Long Term Disability insuranceRetirement plans with company contributionSubsidized tuition on Child CareFSA..and more!
