Lead Software Engineer

Our mission has never been more important than it is today.The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for building highly performant auction-based systems, partnering with and leading a cross-functional team.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneDuties/Responsibilities:Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, ensuring best practices in software development and system architecture.Drive continuous improvement in code quality, performance, and scalability.Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features and functionality.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability and uptime.Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the development team.Performs other duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in designing and developing high-performance auction-based systems.Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, Java, or similar.Expertise in system architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.Preferred Skills:Experience with machine learning and data analytics.Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).Familiarity with call center technologies and CRM systemsPhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position (e.g., sitting or standing) for extended periods of time, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)Frequent use of a computer, dual monitors, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment such as a telephone, copier, and printer.Must be able to communicate effectively, including exchanging information in person, in writing, by telephone, email or video conferencing.Visual and auditory acuity required to perform job duties effectively, including reading, writing, and interpreting information on screens or in print.Hand dexterity, fine motor skills needed to operate a keyboard and mouse efficientlyReach with hands and arms occasionallyFor Hybrid Roles:Must be able to commute to an office setting as required, which may include walking short distances and navigating an office environment.Occasionally moves about the office to access files, office machinery, and meet with others.Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) is a fundamental principle at HealthPlanOne, where employment is based upon personal capabilities and qualifications.
