General Laborer

Mammoth Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking for aGeneral Laborerto work out of different areas of our Transfer Station located inMammoth Lakes, CA!Theschedule is Tuesday-Saturday 7:00AM - 3:30PM at our Buyback Center, which occasional shift coverage of the Transfer Station/scale house from 6:30AM - 3:00PM or 10:30AM - 7:00PM Monday-Friday.Starting pay is $21.00 per hour. The pay range for this job category is $21.00-$22.00 per hour.This is a great opportunity for full time, year round work! We offer family benefits, 401k with a match and paid vacation.In this position you will be working very independently. You will beinteracting with the public, doing cash-handling and computer work, and handling labor-intensive tasks on-site. Must have excellent customer service, as well as the ability to stand and do physically demanding work throughout an 8 hour shift.Responsibilities:Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry to the centerSupporting the buyback center with weighing, payments and sortingSort recyclingCalculating payments for customersEnter truck, car information into computer systemEnsuring that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Data entryand answering phones as neededEnsuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate materialOpening and closing the Transfer StationCleaning, sweeping and pressure washing equipmentProviding general upkeep of the Scale HouseHeavy liftingof equipment and materialLearn to operate forklift and bobcatRequirements:Customer service skills and a great attitudeCash handlingexperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to stand throughout an 8 hour shiftAbility to lift up to 50lbs poundsAbility to work in all weather conditionsTo be considered for any of our current openings you must complete an application atwww.wasteconnections.com.
