Hotshot Truck Driver

Overview We are seeking a dependable and experienced Hotshot Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes, utilizing specialized equipment such as flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, route management, and load handling, with a focus on timely deliveries and excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safe and prompt transportation of goods. Responsibilities Safely load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Plan and execute route driving to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. Manage freight handling including securing loads on different types of trailers and ensuring proper load distribution. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain safety standards. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses. Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks to ensure optimal operation. Follow all safety protocols related to commercial driving, including compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Provide excellent customer service during delivery appointments by representing the company professionally. Qualifications Valid driver’s license Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Experience with freight handling, load & unload procedures, route driving, and delivery operations. Familiarity with specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus. Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial trucking and freight transportation. Ability to drive for extended periods and manage long routes effectively. Physical capability to load/unload freight and perform routine vehicle inspections. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safe driving practices and efficient freight delivery while maintaining high standards of customer service.
