Construction Management Professional Intermediate
We are seeking a Construction Management Professional Intermediate to work in Houston, TX and various unanticipated worksites in the US.In this role, you will:Monitor project financials and assisting in cost control: assist the project manager in reviewing change order proposals, contractor pay applications, and invoices to confirm compliance with scope, pricing guidelines, and contractual terms. Help identify cost overruns or unjustified expenditures and support the team in maintaining budget accuracy and financial accountability. Document and coordinate meetings with stakeholders: coordinate and attend meetings involving architects, engineers, contractors, and client representatives. Prepare agendas, record detailed meeting minutes, and follow up on action items. This helps ensure all project communications and decisions are transparent, traceable, and in alignment with project objectives. Assist in design and procurement phases: support the design and procurement process by reviewing bid documents and verifying that all scopes of work are complete and coordinated. Assist in managing bidder questions, organizing site walkthroughs, and reviewing bid submissions alongside the project manager to ensure compliance with public procurement standards. Coordinate field oversight and progress monitoring, works closely with field representatives to monitor on-site activities. Review site visit reports, photographs, and contractor progress updates to verify that construction is in line with approved drawings, safety protocols, and the project schedule. Help escalate and resolve field-level issues with the design and construction teams. Track and support risk and change management: assist with Identifying project risks related to schedule, cost, or scope. Help maintain records of potential risks or delays and track the status of proposed changes to minimize project disruption. Support the project manager in documenting all changes and ensuring proper review and approval procedures are followed. Maintain compliance with public agency standards: assist with ensuring that all project activities, documentation, and decisions comply with applicable codes, public agency standards, and school district requirements. This includes assisting with internal audits, preparing information for progress reports, and ensuring the owner's responsibilities are fulfilled in accordance with regulations and policies.Hybrid schedule is allowed.Travel: Up to 20% domestic travel to visit projects site.#LI-DNIREQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field and 2 years of work experience in the job offered or related Structural Engineering occupation.As an alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field and 4 years of work experience in the job offered or related Structural Engineering occupation.SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise and knowledge of: Reviewing and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Managing RFIs, submittals, payment applications, and change orders. Construction management tools like Procore, Kahua, SharePoint, Bluebeam Revu, and Prolog. Budgeting, cost control, and progress tracking on construction projects. Ability to conduct site inspections, track milestones, and support schedule adherence.
