About OpusOpus Inspection builds and operates emission testing programs in states and counties across the US, tailored to local requirements. We work closely with our government partners to help them increase compliance with air quality standards and achieve their public policy goals.Job PurposeAn integral part of the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Specialist is responsible for day-to-day administration and compliance activities related to employee leave programs, workers' compensation, Unemployment claims processing, OSHA and EEO reporting, required employment law postings, as well as maintaining HRIS data and Employee Files.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPartners with vendors to administer Federal and State leave programs across multiple states, including eligibility review, notifications, tracking time and ensuring timely follow-up with employees andPartners with vendors to lead the administration of workers’ compensation claims, including coordinating with carriers and internal stakeholders.Maintains OSHA injury and illness records; prepares and posts the annual OSHAPrepares and submit annual EEO-1 and other required federal, state, or local HR-related reports, ensuring accuracy and appropriate recordMaintains complete and compliant personnel files and related electronicRun, schedule, and validate HRIS reports to support compliance, audits, and reporting on leaves of absence, workers' compensation, headcount, demographics. Create dashboards for HRMonitor federal, state, and local employment law posting requirements; ensure all required postings are current, visible, and available to on-site and remotePartners with HR Generalists on internal and external audits related to HR compliance (e.g., leaves, workers' compensation, I-9s, personnel files, EEO/affirmative action data).Conducts OSHA, EEO, BLS reporting and assists with other required state and federalResponds to unemployment claims and participates in hearings whenResponds to manager and employee questions related to leaves of absence, workers' compensation, OSHA/incident reporting, EEO data, and personnel files, escalating complex issues asCollaborates with Human Resources colleagues across disciplines and programs in multiplePerforms other duties as assigned
