Knightscope's long-term mission is to make the United States of America the safest country in the worldJob SummaryThe RTX/KNOC Specialist is a cross-trained role supporting four departments: RTX (Risk and Threat Exposure), KNOC (Knightscope Network Operations Center), Deployment, and Service. This position serves as a flexible operational resource, ensuring continuity by providing PTO coverage across all four departments. The Specialist also contributes to cross-functional projects involving data collection, analysis, and application in support of RTX, KNOC, Service, and Deployment operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPTO Coverage & Department SupportServe as a trained backup for both RTX and KNOC department functions during scheduled and unscheduled absences.Maintain proficiency in RTX and KNOC workflows, tools, and procedures to ensure seamless operational coverage.Coordinate with department supervisors to prioritize and schedule coverage assignments effectively.Project WorkSupport active projects across RTX, KNOC, Service, and Deployment departments when not assigned to coverage duties.Perform data collection activities including gathering operational metrics, system data, and performance indicators.Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.Apply analytical findings to support operational decisions, project deliverables, and departmental initiatives.Document project progress, findings, and outcomes in accordance with departmental standards.Provide reports upon request.Collaboration & CommunicationWork closely with RTX, KNOC, Service, and Deployment team members to understand project requirements and priorities.Communicate availability and project status regularly to supervisors and team leads.Participate in team meetings, briefings, and cross-departmental planning sessions as needed.Required QualificationsPrior experience in network operations, technical support, or a related field.Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux systems, networking, and distributed systemsDemonstrated ability to learn multiple operational roles and adapt quickly to changing priorities.Proficiency in data collection methodologies and basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, reporting platforms).Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across concurrent assignments.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting hardware-integrated or robotics systems.Familiarity with network monitoring tools, ticketing systems, or deployment workflows.Experience working in a cross-functional or multi-department environment.Exposure to data analysis or business intelligence tools.Compensation & BenefitsBase Pay Rate: $38 per hourEquity: Stock optionsBenefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time offLocation Requirement: Full-time, on-site at Sunnyvale HQ
