In addition, our staff are eligible for the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program!What The Personal Health Assistant DoesAssist students with personal care needs including toileting, feeding, dressing, and hygiene while promoting dignity and independence.Support students with mobility needs, including safe lifting, transfers, positioning, and use of wheelchairs or assistive technology.Provide encouragement and behavioral support to help students engage in learning and daily school activities.Monitor student safety during transitions, physical activities, and throughout the school day.Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment; assist teachers with supervision in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and on school grounds.Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure consistent care and support for students with disabilities.Perform other duties as assigned to support students' health, safety, and learning.What The Personal Health Assistant Brings To The TeamHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience supporting students with disabilities in a school, clinical, or caregiving setting preferredAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingAbility to provide appropriate care with dignity, independence, and privacy in mindAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all timesPhysical ability to lift up to 35 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 70 lbs. (with assistance or Hoyer lift)Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the school day
