Staff Accountant

You'll work in a structured, collaborative accounting team with a genuine continuous improvement culture, solid benefits from day one, and strong mentorship opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport monthly, quarterly, and year-end close through preparation of journal entries and account reconciliationsPerform fluctuation analyses on balance sheet and income statement accounts and communicate findings to leadershipMaintain the general ledger to ensure accuracy of accounting records and financial reportingSupport internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation and responding to inquiriesEnsure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policiesAssist with process improvements and implementation of accounting best practicesCollaborate cross-functionally with finance and other departments to support business initiatives and resolve accounting issuesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting2+ years of progressive accounting experience - full-cycle general ledger or public accounting (audit) equally consideredStrong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting principlesAdvanced Excel proficiency; experience with a general ledger system required (Workday preferred)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsSelf-starter with a proactive mindset and high accountabilityNice to HaveCPA or active progress toward CPAMBA or Master's in AccountingPublic accounting background from a Big 4 or large regional firm (BDO, RSM, Grant Thornton)Experience in financial services or asset managementSOX / public company controls experienceExposure to SQL, Alteryx, Snowflake, or Power BI
