Senior Commercial Counsel
My client, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to join its legal team as they prepare for the launch of their first commercial product. This is a pivotal time to join an already well established company where you will serve as a strategic advisor across the product lifecycle, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant and effective commercialization.ResponsibilitiesNegotiate, draft, and review a wide range of commercial and market access agreements, including customer-facing and distribution-related contractsProvide legal guidance across product development, launch planning, and commercialization activities, including launch readiness and go-to-market strategyAdvise on regulatory and compliance considerations related to product development, labeling, promotion, and scientific communicationsSupport brand planning, market development, and product positioning initiatives with practical legal guidanceReview and approve external-facing materials, including marketing and promotional contentPartner with cross-functional teams (e.g., commercial, medical, regulatory) to identify and mitigate legal and business risksCounsel on applicable healthcare and privacy laws and regulationsConduct risk assessments and deliver business-oriented, actionable recommendationsQualificationsJ.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction5+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house within life sciencesExperience supporting pharmaceutical or biotech commercialization preferredStrong communication, analytical, and drafting skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
