Senior Estimator Environmental ServicesLocation: Kansas City, MOPosition Type: Full-Time | PermanentPosition OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator Environmental Services to lead estimating efforts for Construction Design-Build and EPC projects across a diverse portfolio of environmental and infrastructure initiatives. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic project pursuits by delivering accurate, high-quality cost estimates that enable clients to make informed, fact-based decisions while minimizing organizational risk.The Senior Estimator will provide leadership throughout the preconstruction and proposal process, collaborating with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and clients to develop competitive and reliable project pricing.Key ResponsibilitiesLead estimating strategy development and implementation efforts.Prepare and manage Construction Design-Build and EPC estimates and proposals.Review and approve project summary schedules for accuracy and validity.Manage estimating workload schedules to ensure timely deliverables.Lead project risk review processes and present findings.Ensure compliance with established estimating methodologies and quality standards.Facilitate project team reviews related to quantities, scope, and pricing assumptions.Review and approve bonds, insurance quotes, and related cost components.Oversee small and disadvantaged business solicitation and evaluation processes.Lead subcontractor solicitation and prequalification activities.Review and approve specialty equipment and standard equipment pricing.Verify subcontractor bid packages prior to distribution for quotations.Present estimates to internal leadership and external clients.Conduct final estimate reviews prior to management approval and proposal submission.Lead estimating teams during preconstruction services execution.Maintain cost history databases and continuously improve estimating processes.Approve pricing for general conditions, indirect costs, and project overheads.Recommend project fee structures, contingencies, and escalation strategies.Provide man-hour estimates for required estimating efforts.Support contract partnering strategies and joint venture estimate reviews.Review commercial terms and conditions and identify risk exposures.Validate value engineering options, alternates, and cost-saving opportunities.Ensure accuracy of estimate clarifications, assumptions, and scope alignment.Identify gaps or overlaps in project documentation and scope.Train, mentor, and support junior estimating staff.Perform additional duties as assigned while maintaining compliance with company policies and standards.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management , or a related field required.(Applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirements.)Minimum 7+ years of direct project estimating experience , preferably within environmental, construction, or EPC project environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound decision-making skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced project settings.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with:Microsoft Office SuiteConEstK-baseOSHA 10-Hour Certification required.Aspen Technical StaffingCELEBRATING 25 YEARS~2001-2026~We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
