Student Assistant The Student Assistant will:Assess the administrative needs of the regional office by gathering, reviewing, and evaluating administrative processes.Create reports and summarize contents used by Program Managers.Assist in the preparation for surveillance activities.Provide support by answering phone calls from the general public and appropriately directing callers; requires a firm grasp of the whole Department to ensure calls are adequately answered.Assist in the transition from paper to electronic records and maintaining documents.Participate in work groups and statewide calls in areas of interest, such as epidemiology or emergency management.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Candidates must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate college student. Documentation of Fall 2026 matriculation and enrollment in the Fall semester must be submitted with your resume.Preferred Qualifications:Matriculated college student interested in exploring a career in health or business administrationFlexible and responsiveHave excellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProblem solve effectivelyHave strong interpersonal skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, SharePoint) and other computer programs as neededTemporary, part-time, non-competitive.
