Material Handler Associate

DescriptionReceiving and shipping products, inventory control, parts kit assembly, and associated computer functions. Additional responsibilities will include assisting in control of raw and manufactured parts inventory, general/preventative maintenance of departmental tools and equipment, and participation in cross training as both trainer and trainee when assigned.Job Category: Hourly, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Responsibilities And DutiesActs under management of Shipping and Receiving SupervisorUtilization of work order processing software.Prepare outbound shipments.Unload and receive Inbound shipments.Deliver parts/supplies to workstations.Process outbound work orders and receivers.Prepare small and large parts kits.Maintain inventory at optimum stockpile levels.Ongoing cross training as trainer and trainee in Shipping/Receiving Department.Maintain a safe and clean workspace and department.Contribute to the evolution and improvement of current systems and processes.QualificationsJob Requirements:Detail oriented.Ability to accurately utilize a tape measure.Ability to individually lift 50-100 pounds.Physical ability to work full day lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling in a non-environmentally controlled, loud work environment.Ability to judge distances and read signs.Experience in material handling/ warehouse preferred.Valid Driver's LicenseCurrent and valid OSHA Forklift Operators License (training can be provided).High School Diploma or GED, preference given for Associate or Bachelor's degree.Skill RequirementsDetail OrientationFamiliarity with basic hand and power toolsStrong Communication SkillsTeam Player MentalityFlexible and AdaptableCreativeBe advised this position description does not contain an all-inclusive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee in this position.
