Details Position is located on a 7A Neurology Progressive Care (Stepdown) Unit within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week 4 weekend shifts required per month Block scheduling is not available No on-call requirements Epic EMR is used and experience is required Requirements Active GA RN license or Compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for consideration Minimum 2 years of neuro stepdown or progressive care nursing experience required Strong med/surg candidates with NIHSS, ACLS, and stepdown experience may also be considered Epic EMR experience required Background in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse cases required Additional Information This facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center — candidates must have proven experience managing critical, fast-paced situations in large-scale trauma environments Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered Local candidates are accepted for this position NIHSS certification must be documented and available for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-689843.
