Distribution Engineer

Job Title: Distribution Planning Engineer Duration: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire Compensation: $45-50/hr (Final Compensation will be dependent on skillset and experience) Overview: We are seeking a Distribution Planning Engineer to support a Fortune 500 utility company in Richmond, VA. This team focuses on electrical distribution infrastructure and planning efforts tied to delivering power to residential, commercial, and infrastructure customers. Responsibilities: Support distribution planning and electrical infrastructure projects Perform engineering analysis, load calculations, and system planning activities Assist with reliability, capacity, and voltage-related evaluations Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers on multiple projects Support utility distribution design, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements Review drawings, technical documentation, and engineering standards Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 3+ years of experience in distribution engineering, power systems, utility infrastructure, or related electrical engineering work Experience with utility or power systems environments preferred Exposure to tools such as Synergi, ETAP, CYME, SCADA, GIS, or similar software is a plus Strong communication and coordination skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
