Portfolio Management Associate
WHO are we looking for?CAPTRUST seeks a Portfolio Management Associate to process individual account trades for onboarding of new clients, application of new funds and distribution requests. In addition, the position will process group account trading related to the firm’s active portfolio management processes. Additional departmental projects as needed will also be part of the role. Accuracy, timeliness, clear communication and follow-through are critical characteristics to success. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:ResponsibilitiesTrading client accounts for new account onboarding, deposits, distribution requests and portfolio rebalancingAssisting with improvements to investment processesResearch projects for client accounts (capital gains, cost basis and similar)Cross train for daily tracking and reporting of account composites performanceAs needed review and analysis of prospective client portfolios for business developmentAs needed generation of investment reports to assist Wealth Client Service and Business Development teamsEnsure regulatory compliance is followedEstablish, maintain and update files, databases, records and other documentsProvide excellent service to fellow team membersOther duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Completion of a four-year college degree or equivalent years of relevant experience2+ years’ experience working in client services for an organization that provides retirement plan servicesActive Series 7/66 Securities Licenses, required (if not currently licensed, will be required within 6 months of hire)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Salesforce CRM, and other financial software programsPrior trading experience, preferredInterest in pursuing or progress toward CFA a plusDesired Qualifications/SkillsAbility to work in a team environment, “team player” mindset, willingness to do whatever is neededDedication to accuracy and detailOrganized and able to manage multiple tasks/projectsAbility to take responsibility and ownership of workWork ethically while maintaining the highest level of discretion with confidential and sensitive informationStrong verbal communication skills to express ideas and thoughts in a clear professional mannerWHAT can you expect from your career at CAPTRUST?Our colleagues, like our clients, tend to stay with CAPTRUST for years.
