Build Technician

Build TechnicianThe Build Technician is responsible for hands-on fabrication, assembly, and preparation of prototype and production builds in a fast paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to follow engineering drawings and build instructions accurately. The technician will support prototyping, small run builds, rework, and fulfillment needs for client projects.ResponsibilitiesPerform hands-on fabrication, assembly, and finishing of prototype and production buildsRead and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and build documentationUse shop tools including routers, sanders, drills, adhesives, and various fabrication equipmentInspect parts and materials for accuracy and quality; report discrepanciesAssist with rework or adjustments needed during prototype developmentPrepare parts for fulfillment, including replacements for missing or damaged client componentsMaintain clean, organized workstations and comply with all safety proceduresSupport efficient workflow by following supervisor direction and meeting assigned deadlinesCollaborate with engineering, project management, and the build supervisor to complete projects accurately and on timeQualifications13 years of experience in a fabrication, prototype, or manufacturing shopPrior hands-on build or assembly experience strongly preferredExperience with woodworking, acrylic fabrication, or general fabrication preferredAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and accurate measurementsProficient in the safe use of common shop tools and equipmentStrong attention to detail, quality, and craftsmanshipGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a teamAbility to lift and handle materials as required for shop tasksBilingual (Spanish) a plusHigh school diploma or equivalentPhysical RequirementsAbility to perform hands-on fabrication for extended periodsLift, move, or carry materials up to 50 lbs.Frequent bending, reaching, and use of hand/power toolsSafe operation of fabrication equipment and use of PPEAbility to work in a noisy, dusty shop environment with temperature fluctuationsCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $23.00 - $25.00
