A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg Tele /n/n Job Details: /n • Provide direct nursing care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics/n• Work on a 24-bed Med Surg Tele unit with daily census of 17 patients/n• Maintain patient ratios of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends/n• Self-scheduling system with weekend coverage required/n• Call required depending on census/n• 36-hour orientation period with e-learning modules (1-5 hours average)/n• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required/n• Epic charting system experience preferred/n• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (must be AHA certified)/n• California RN license required at time of submission/n• Manage care of assigned patients and direct activities of ancillary staff/n• Assess patients' physiological and psychological needs comprehensively/n• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans using nursing process/n• Demonstrate charge nurse functions and leadership skills/n• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, COPD, diabetes, CVA, pneumonia, sepsis, and post-surgical conditions/n• Skills include telemetry monitoring, central line care, chest tube management, wound care, PCA management, and tracheostomy care/n• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing/n• 7-year work history verification required/n• Only one holiday time-off request will be approved /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical surgical telemetry unit providing care for diverse patient populations across all age groups.
