Inventory Analyst

We are currently looking for anInventory Analystto join our Importing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Inventory Analyst supports our Product Managers by planning item sales and purchasing and managing product inventory for all business channels (wholesale, catalog and web retail). The Inventory Analyst will also:
Participate in strategic product planning with Product development team
Develop forecast, evaluate inventory position, and assess any required actions. Place orders and reorders with vendors to insure timely delivery of goods.
Promote cooperation with current and prospective vendor
Responsible for analyzing, processing and expediting orders as needed and replenishing stock items
Responsible for price negotiation to continuous improvement of product cost to meet company goal
Negotiate discounts, expedited shipping, and/or extended terms for vendor failures. As needed contact vendor to negotiate order releases and cancellations to maintain appropriate level of inventory.
Participate in new product discussions with product managers.
Negotiate cost savings on product information forms with vendors for Inventory Control related issues (i.e. delivery, packaging, etc).
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor's degree and at least 2-3 years' experience in a field related to Inventory Management or equivalent experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word. PowerPoint and Excel).
Experience with Microsoft Access preferred
Experience in international purchasing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Accurate and detailed oriented
Strong sense of ownership and commitment to excellence
Proven problem-solving skills
Ability to manage large sets and interpret data
Demonstrated planning, organization, and decision-making skills
Chinese bilingual is a plus
