Physician | Principal Investigator (PI - Psych)Work Location: Monmouth County, NJ or New York County, NYSummary:The Principal Investigator (PI) is responsible for ensuring the ethical and compliant conduct of clinical trials, safeguarding participant rights and welfare, maintaining data integrity, and overseeing all aspects of study execution in accordance with regulatory requirements.Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of clinical trial conduct, ensuring adherence to protocols, regulatory guidelines, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.Maintain up-to-date credentials, licensure, and documentation, and provide required information to regulatory bodies and review boards.Ensure protocol compliance, including eligibility assessments, recruitment feasibility, and management of protocol deviations or amendments.Coordinate with Institutional Review Boards (IRB) for initial and ongoing study reviews, securing approvals and submitting required documentation.Manage medical care for study participants, including assessment of compliance, adverse events, and communication with primary care providers.Protect participant rights and confidentiality, ensuring informed consent processes are thorough, documented, and compliant with regulations.Guarantee data accuracy and integrity by overseeing case report forms, documenting study events, and maintaining secure records.Supervise investigational product use and storage, lead research team communications, and participate in audits, meetings, and ongoing professional development.Qualifications:MD or DO degree required.Active medical license in New Jersey.Minimum 3 years of clinical research experience, with emphasis on industry-sponsored clinical trials.Experience with Phase 1 clinical trials required.Board certified or board eligible in neurology or psychiatry.Training in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).CNS clinical trial experience preferred.Excellent teamwork, organizational, and time management skills.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Effective problem-solving skills for operational challenges.
