Position Summary The Project Engineer is responsible for leading and executing engineering projects related to manufacturing processes, infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. This role owns projects from concept through implementation (“A to Z”), working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, and external vendors to deliver solutions that support operational efficiency, product quality, safety, and business objectives. The Project Engineer develops technical solutions, manages budgets and schedules, ensures compliance with engineering and regulatory standards, and supports the successful transition of projects into ongoing operations. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Execution Lead full lifecycle engineering projects from concept development through commissioning and operational handoff. Define project objectives, scope, timelines, deliverables, and success criteria. Research, analyze, design, and implement creative technical solutions to support manufacturing and facility needs. Develop project plans, schedules, cost estimates, and resource requirements. Source and evaluate contractors, suppliers, and equipment vendors; obtain and review quotes. Oversee project execution to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and technical requirements. Ensure all projects comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and company requirements. Engineering Design & Technical Support Design, specify, and optimize manufacturing processes, infrastructure, equipment layouts, and facility improvements. Perform engineering analyses and present technical recommendations to stakeholders. Support modifications and integration of electro‑mechanical systems, automation, and manufacturing equipment. Develop and review technical drawings using 2D CAD and 3D modeling software. Documentation & Compliance Coordinate engineering documentation, including drawings, permits, specifications, and legal/regulatory requirements. Prepare and maintain complete and accurate project records throughout the project lifecycle. Support validation, qualification, and documentation requirements for new processes and equipment. Develop procedures, training materials, and operational documentation as needed. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, and other departments to align projects with operational needs. Communicate project status, risks, and timelines proactively to stakeholders. Lead project meetings, document meeting minutes, and track follow‑up actions. Support capital appropriation processes and provide project data for financial planning and reporting. Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and control costs. Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. Apply sound decision‑making and conflict resolution practices to support project success. Project Start‑Up & Handover Support commissioning, start‑up, and transition of projects into routine operations. Ensure smooth project closeout through transfer of documentation, knowledge, and materials. Provide post‑implementation support to ensure sustainable project outcomes. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience. Knowledge of construction, fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly methods. Experience modifying or integrating electro‑mechanical equipment and systems. Understanding of automation integration, electrical control components, and system configurations. Proficiency with 2D CAD and 3D modeling software. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional discretion. Preferred Qualifications Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of electrical automation and control systems. Familiarity with plastic extrusion, calendaring, and winding processes. Experience with project risk management, decision‑making, and conflict resolution. Proficiency with engineering simulation software and advanced project management tools. Working knowledge of civil, electrical, or materials engineering principles.
