Under the direction of the General Manager, the Logistics Coordinator coordinates and/or performs multiple tasks related to day-to-day activities supporting customer requirements across multiple channels. The Logistic Coordinator oversees scanning and sorting operations, dispatch activities, routing, and scheduling for distribution and routed products. This position also has responsibility for monitoring EPOD’s and coverage. The primary focus is to ensure superior customer service is achieved by providing high-quality performance to include professional, consistent, efficient, secure, and controlled critical deliveries. Remains vigilant about streamlining operating efficiency, eliminating and resolving errors, and increasing productivity; utilizes PDI methodology and tools. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Input and dispatch orders, track assigned pick-ups and deliveries to maximize productivity; using the appropriate service levels, vehicle requirements, mileage, and weightMaintains up-to-date routes/schedules to maintain coverage and efficiencyResponds and resolves promptly to all customer inquiriesNegotiates appropriate Statements of Work for Independent Contractors; executes on approved Statements of Work (SOW’s). Conducts conversations relative to Non-Compliance and contract terminations with Independent ContractorsCoordinates orders, including tracks, assigned, pick-ups, and deliveries to maximize productivity using the appropriate service levels, vehicle requirements, mileage, and weightCompletes service level reporting and updates the client’s web portalsBuilds rapport and solidifies customer relationships through onsite communicationCompletes assigned billing activities and tracks and files all required paperworkCoordinates good customer relationships and effective communication with all Independent Contractor partners and maintains shared accountability for the retentionProvides technical and helpdesk support for customers and IC’s who have problems with order entry, systems, equipment, or applicationsCould assist with IC RecruitingAbility to deliver products if necessaryResponsible for oversight of sorting and distribution of assigned workResponsible for organization, cleanliness, safety, and security processes, along with supplies for the assigned areaResponsible for key performance metricsComplies with Associate Handbook policies and procedures, Master Operating Plan, and all Federal and State LawsMaintains high awareness and commitment to superior customer serviceAll other duties as assigned EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High school education, college preferred2 – 4 years of supervisory experience preferred QUALIFICATIONS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance proceduresExtensive knowledge of regional roadways requiredMust be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and in the use of computersMust have excellent communication and negotiation skillsMust have a reliable vehicle to commute to and from workSuperior customer service and time management skills are a mustProven problem-solving and organization skillsAbility to work independently and under time constraints PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A typical days activities include sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, and reaching; normal finger dexterity, visual acuity (with or without corrective glasses), hearing, talking, typing and grasping are also required to carry out essential functions. The associate is subject to indoor conditions primarily with most work occurring inside a warehouse and/or office.
