Software Developer/ProgrammerLocation: Newington, NHWork Arrangement: OnsiteEmployment Type: Full-Time, Direct HireSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.Salary Range: $105,000–$120,000 annuallyTarget Bonus: 6%Work Authorization Requirement: Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder).Position OverviewThis company is seeking a Software Developer/Programmer to design, develop, and maintain software and database solutions that improve manufacturing and business processes. This role includes building new applications, enhancing existing systems, and providing ongoing application support within a technical manufacturing environment.The Software Developer/Programmer will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, and business process owners to identify needs, define requirements, and deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies, procedures, and documentation standards throughout requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.Meet with process owners and key stakeholders to understand business challenges and define requirements for new applications or modifications to existing applications.Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom applications and reports using C#, the .NET Framework, Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, and related technologies.Develop software using object-oriented and modular design principles to ensure applications are maintainable, reusable, scalable, and easy to modify.Follow established coding standards, version-control practices, testing requirements, and peer-review processes to maintain code quality and traceability.Participate in application design and code reviews to ensure solutions align with architectural guidelines, security requirements, and software-development best practices.Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including requirements, design specifications, test cases, application-support materials, and deployment instructions.Develop and maintain relational database objects, including tables, queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views.Provide training and instruction to process owners and end users on the effective use of custom applications.Troubleshoot and resolve application or database issues, including providing occasional off-hours support when required by business operations.Participate in daily stand-up meetings, provide clear status updates, identify blockers, and coordinate priorities with the development team and business stakeholders.Follow all company safety requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.Perform other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field preferred.Professional experience developing custom applications using C# and the .NET Framework.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and modular software-design principles.Knowledge of common software-design patterns and the ability to apply them appropriately.Experience with Visual Studio and Windows-based application development.Experience with relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or later.Proficiency with T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, database design, and data normalization.Familiarity with SDLC processes, source control, code reviews, testing, deployment, and technical documentation.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to translate business and manufacturing requirements into effective technical solutions.Ability to work collaboratively across departments and independently with minimal supervision.Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States (green card holder).About This CompanyThe backbone of the internet is a global network of advanced subsea fiber-optic cables, and this company has deployed more than 50% of them.
